This comedy is about a group of young 30 year old friends who plan one last party, which happens to be an orgy. The big challenge on this film was transforming Wilmington, NC into the Hamptons in NY. Both directors, Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, had grown up spending their summers in the Hamptons. So they both had very clear ideas about what the look and feel of the film should be. A good portion of the film takes place in an older summer house where all of the friends gather. The threat of losing their favorite hangout is what compels the friends to have one last big blowout. The house needed to reflect the history of the relationships between the characters, while having a very lived in quality. We found a home that had some of the characteristics we were looking for, like a pool in the backyard. However, the interior did not resemble the style we were trying to achieve, so we completely revamped the interior with paneling, paint and entire re-dress. Along with the creative use and transformation of other locations in Southport, NC, our entire team did a fantastic job of creating the look and vibe of the Hamptons.
